HOW TO MAKE CHIPS
Steps:
Preparation:
Wash and peel the potatoes.
Slice them into thin, even pieces. You can use a knife or a mandoline slicer for consistency.
Soak the Slices:
Place the slices in a bowl of cold water for about 30 minutes. This helps remove excess starch and makes the chips crispier.
After soaking, drain and pat them dry using a clean towel.
Heat the Oil:
Pour oil into a deep pan or fryer and heat it to about 180°C (350°F).
Fry the Chips:
Carefully place the slices in the hot oil in small batches. Fry until golden and crispy (about 2-3 minutes per batch).
Use a slotted spoon to remove the chips and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
Season and Serve:
Sprinkle salt or your favorite seasoning while the chips are still warm.
