HOW TO MAKE SAUCE


  1. Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.

  2. Add the chopped onion and cook until it becomes soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.

  3. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.

  4. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and stir to combine.

  5. Add the sugar, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir well.

  6. Lower the heat and let the sauce simmer for about 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  7. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. If desired, add fresh basil just before serving.
